It's easy for Kaoru to navigate through the crowd. He greets the guests politely, a charming look, laughs as people ask about his brother, his boyfriend. He knows just how to wave people off without it being dismissive, until he gets back to his family's side. Hikaru is tending to Ageha, their younger sister, who is making the guests all laugh at his expense. When Kaoru and Kei arrive, the attention of the family all shifts to them.
"Ah," an elderly woman with a bizarre flower arrangement on her head declares. "You must be Tsukishima-san. It's nice to meet you."
Her knowing smirk is not dissimilar to her grandson's as she looks up at Kei. Kaoru squeezes his hand again.]
