[There might not be sparks, but the first touch of Tsukishima's lips sends his heart racing anyway. It's difficult not to be nervous, when he's been thinking about this for a week straight. Though... Tsukishima's been thinking about this for far longer, apparently, and maybe that's why Shouyou isn't surprised to feel his hand shaking when it grips onto his.
He pulls back slightly, eyes blinking open.]
You're shaking, Tsukishima. [It doesn't feel right to tease him, not for this.]
[The soft expression looks good on Tsukishima. Much as Shouyou's grown fond of the smirk Tsukishima tends to wear when he's teasing someone, he likes this look just as much. Especially if he gets to keep it for himself.]
That's okay. My chest is all gyunnnn right now, too!! [Eyes practically shining, Shouyou tugs Tsukishima's hand up so he can rest it on his chest.] See? My heart's being super fast right now.
[Though Shouyou was the one who moved Tsukishima's hand there in the first place, a blush begins to spread over his cheeks when he realizes what he'd done in his excitement. There's a layer of fabric between their skin, but Shouyou can still feel the warmth seeping into him from Tsukishima's palm.
His heartbeat, already fast, seems to speed up even more.]
[While Shouyou wouldn't mind another kiss, Tsukishima isn't pulling his hand away, and that's enough for now. Just hours ago, he wouldn't have thought this would be possible either. Besides, they have the house to themselves for a while; they have time to savor the simple act of touching each other.]
Is it because you didn't think I liked you back? Or... [He hesitates, then says softly--] ...because you didn't want it to be me?
[Shouyou's not stupid. It had taken him some time to accept his feelings for Tsukishima. And Tsukishima had known his own feelings for even longer than that. There are a few conclusions he can draw from that alone.]
[It's just a handful of words, but they explain so much of Tsukishima's personality that Shouyou's mouth just about drops open.]
Yeah... it hurts when you think you can't have it, right? When you want something that badly.
[He gets it. He does. Recently, he'd thought there were two things out of his reach: volleyball and Tsukishima, whether from the doubt of other people, or from a perceived impossibility. And yet, here he is, with one of them close enough to touch.
Shouyou shivers as Tsukishima's hand moves, holding still and letting him explore as he likes.]

Ever.]
Huh?
[He looks down at his hand. Stares. As if it belongs to someone else. Curled around Hinata's like that.]
Oh.

Tsukki doesn't pull away.
Instead he spreads his fingers wide. Feeling that 'gyunnnn'. The thunder and warmth that is very, very real. Right here. In this room.]

I didn't think this would happen.
[This would probably be an excellent moment to follow up on that kiss.
Except Tsukki's absorbed. Watching his hand rise and fall, with Hinata's breath. Waiting for it to feel - real?]

[Geeze. How to even explain it.]
It's - Wanting things - It's hard.
[Especially something like this. Because then you have to say it, for anything to happen.
And what if it doesn't.
Slowly, Tsukki slides his hand up. Mapping the slope of Hinata's chest. Shoulder. Curving up to the side of his neck. Where the same pulse flickers.]

Then again.
Slow.
Careful.
Trying to fill that space. To believe it can happen. Is happening.]
